Prayer of Intercession

O Heavenly Father,

I come to you in Jesus’ name,

praying that you will help and bless (name of person).

You are almighty and you have assured us of your mercy;

therefore I look to you in faith

and pray that it will be your will for (name of person) to recover.

Sustain and strengthen him/her,

and bless the treatment and care that there may occur a turn for the better.  

O Lord, hear my supplication!

Yet, our Father, you are wise as well as king,

and if, in this instance, your thoughts are different than ours,

then help us say, “Your will be done”--

and give us victorious faith even in the darkest hour.

Merciful God, I pray that you will grant the forgiveness of sins to us all

and uphold us by your divine power.  We put our trust in you alone.
